RIDDLE OF THE TRILOBITES

As the ocean begins to change around her, one young trilobite sets off with a band of friends on a journey across the Panthalassic Ocean to solve the ancient prophecy of her species:

"The trilobites cannot live, but will not die..."

CTown is thrilled to announce the upcoming world premiere production of Riddle of the Trilobites! Hooray!

CTown is co-producing RIDDLE OF THE TRILOBITES with Flint Repertory Theater in Michigan in March 2019, before a New York Premiere in 2020. Directed by Lee Sunday Evans, co-created with Geo, Jordan and composer Nicholas Williams, the show will feature puppets designed by Amanda Villalobos. Also joining the team as our Executive Producer and puppet consultant is Jean Marie Keevins for Little Shadow Productions. We cannot wait to birth this undersea adventure (with environmental themes which are all too pertinent to now) for audiences of all ages, with a beautiful full production!

Riddle of the Trilobites is an epic, puppet-filled musical adventure set underwater 500 million years ago, it tells the story of the ancient ocean’s dominant species -- trilobites -- as a major geological shift threatens their existence.  With humor and songs, the play explores family, loss, and our connection to and impact on our planet

Riddle of the Trilobites was developed as part of the New Victory LabWorks at The New Victory Theater in New York City. Development of the show was supported by: The Dramatist GuildThe New York State Council on the Arts as well as The Jim Henson Foundation.

Check out the LabWorks website, and read about the residency announcement in the NY Times.

CANDY

In early summer, 2015, CollaborationTown was commissioned by LCT3 at Lincoln Center to create a new piece of devised theatre. Over the next two years Boo, Jordan, Geo and Lee created CANDY, an a darkly satirical, contemporary adaptation of Voltaire’s Candide. It will have reading at New York Theatre Workshop in December, 2018.

SUPPORT NEW WORK FOR ALL AGES!

We need your help to make Riddle of the Trilobites happen!

The world premiere of Riddle of the Trilobites is happening, this March at Flint Repertory Theatre in Flint, MI! It is, by far, the largest production we've ever produced. Riddle features 13 original songs and an army of characters brought to life by 6 performers operating over 25 puppets. We believe Riddle of the Trilobite’s story of youthful heroism, activism and perseverance in the face of environmental disaster will resonate deeply with the families audiences of Flint, a community that has infamously struggled with parallel traumas. We can’t think of a better place to debut this show.

Making this all happen requires funds, and we’re hoping you’ll join the cause and donate. Would you consider making a donation?

ANY AMOUNT WILL HELP GREATLY!

All donations are tax deductible.

Thank you!
